La Costanera

Incredible. Everything. Food was authentic and well designed menu. The Oceanside view is awesome. Service was excellent and the whole ambiance has me wishing I could come back every day. I highly recommend. The food had a Peruvian flair but it wasnt anything to scare off a traditionalist... There is something for everyone! Even for those who don't like seafood. Everyone in our whole party was raving about the amazing cuisine!

The location and view are magnificent. The food and drinks are excellent. Try a chicha morada cocktail! I’ve been here many times and always had a great experience. You have to go early to get in line for a seat right at the edge of the dining room for the best view, even if you have reservations. Parking can be tight because stairs down to the beach are behind the restaurant.

The good: the atmosphere was great. Lots of little decorations added to the Peruvian and nautical themes. There is a wall containing white on dark grey writing that looks nearly identical to a wall in Mochica in San Francisco. Maybe both places were designed by the same person? The layout is interesting. Two floors; top has traditional dining while the bottom has club seating. Both floors have bars, but the top floor bar is sparse. There are gas fire pits outside.The bad: lighting outside is inadequate. Especially in the dark it is easy to pass by without knowing the restaurant was there. There are also not enough lights illuminating the walkway into the restaurant. The parking lots are small and cramped. The food was average. No great flavors or anything to really say I enjoyed.
